Assembly chairman, Ilir Meta, sent yesterday an official invitation to the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, where he requests the assistance of foreign election observers, by the European Parliament.
In the letter sent to the EP President he emphasizes the importance of monitoring the electoral process, which serves to a high quality of the process and to the legitimacy of the outcome.
“International and local monitoring of the upcoming parliamentary elections serves to the quality of the process and ensures the legitimacy of the result. I am honored to convey the invitation on behalf of the Albanian Parliament for a group of international observers from the European Parliament”. -Meta writes.
