World Bank stated that 300 thousand jobs have been created in the Western Balkan region from 2010-2016 period. However none of these 300 thousand additional jobs turns out to have been created in Albania. Albania and Bosnia saw the largest decline of the new jobs during the period from 2010- until 2016.
In a report, the World Bank stated yesterday, that the Western Balkan region, in 2016, counted 5.8 million employed people, of whom 300,000 turn out to have been employed during the period from 2010-until 2016. Nevertheless, none of these 300 thousand additional jobs seems to have been created in Albania, Monitor writes.
According to the report, the employment saw an increase in all countries with two exceptions: being Albania and Bosnia. According to the Bank, in Albania the number of new jobs created declined by 2.4% over the last six years, with the highest decline having been found among young people, while in Bosnia such number declined by over 5%.

Based on the said report, it was also found that a significant number of new jobs was created in Serbia and Macedonia, there by increasing the employment rate of these countries from 11.2 to 12.5%.
