Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and US Ambassador Donald Lu have briefly concluded the meeting between them.
Following the meeting with the opposition leader, Lu went to Rama’s office to discuss the latest opposition proposal to postpone the election. It is still unknown whether Rama has agreed to postpone the June 18th session to enable the opposition to participate in the election process. But, from the last post on Twitter, Prime Minister implied that nothing has yet been achieved.
This is the second meeting today, while in the box office is the solution of the political impasse of the country. Meanwhile, today Basha sent a public letter to Rama, where he asks him to unconditionally accept the proposal of the foreign diplomat Hoyt Yee and the “McCallister” platform. But according to the Prime Minister the solution can come from the opposition leader. While urging him not to speak on behalf of the US, but based on what is discussed between DP and SP.
