It has been few weeks that there is a debate on banning the films made during the communist era.
Kadare is against the broadcasting of some of those films. The writer gave this statement in Kosovo, during a conversation with his book lovers, in the theater of “Klan Kosova”.
“It is totally improper, immoral, and intolerable that the Albanian spectator sees those movies, where there are such characters, as children spying in favor of dictatorship”, Kadare says.
