Religious communities in Albania express their concern about the political situation in the country. Communities made a statement for the media in which they say that calls for violence are alarming for the situation in the country.
Muslim Community, Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, Bektashi World Headquarters and Evangelical Brotherhood unanimously claim to be concerned about the lack of dialogue and the violent rhetoric used by the politicians.
“It’s not our duty to find or show concrete solutions to the situation created. It’s the politics duty, since they have the power of taking actions. We thank God for the many good things that have been done and are still being done, as well as the seriousness of many people who work tirelessly, albeit often unknown, in the application of law and for the good of society.
We also urge every political initiative to express wishes which serve for the common good and to avoid any form of violence against people, objects and institutions”
