US embassy in Tirana warned the American citizens to avoid crowds the day when opposition’s protest will be held in May 13.
In the announcement published on the embassy’s official website, they stressed that there is no information on threats to US citizens, still they are advised to avoid the protest.
“The Embassy reminds US citizens that even peaceful protests can turn into conflict, so you need to revise plans for May 13”
In this warning, the US embassy fears a possible clash between political forces when the opposition warned a march on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard on Saturday, to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Rama and the creation of a caretaker government as a guarantee for free and fair elections.
