A regional ministerial conference on “Public Services in the Western Balkans” was held today in Tirana, where besides Prime Minister Rama, members of government cabinets from Albania, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro also participated.
The press office of the Ministry of Innovation announces the best practices of the European Union in the system of public services. Particular attention was paid to the Albanian model of public service delivery, setting new standards in the delivery of public services, increasing transparency, reducing corrupt practices, increasing efficiency, and citizen satisfaction in delivering services, reducing time of waiting, but without leaving aside and the challenges faced by the reform.
The conference aimed finding out the prerequisites needed to improve the performance and quality of public services for citizens and businesses, which would bring transparent and accountable systems. The implementation of the Public Administration Reform remains one of the key priorities for the accession of Western Balkan countries to the European Union.
Western Balkan governments were represented at this meeting by Milena Harito, State Minister for Innovation and Public Administration, Marta Arsovska Tomovska, Minister of Information Society and Administration of Macedonia, Ana Brnabic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Government, Serbia and Suzana Pribilovic, Minister of Public Administration of Montenegro.
