Albanian and German government’s official meetings in the last summer appear to have been materialized by signing several cooperation agreements.
The recent initiative of the government, presented to the Legal Commission was the draft law for voting “Integrated management of solid waste processing and recycling through an environmentally sound manner”, Scan TV reports.
The Ministry of Environment‘s representative said that the project’s goal is to improve the management system of solid waste.
The German government allocates a contribution of 3 million Euro, which will be implemented for the project “Integrated management of solid waste processing and recycling economy through an environmentally sound manner”.
The main goal of the project is to improve the management system of solid waste, mainly taking into consideration the climatic aspects. It is expected to take place at the national level, including three ministries, and three local municipalities: Himara, Peqini and Rrogozhine.
Another agreement which was voted by the Legal Commission, between Republic of Albania and Federal Republic of Germany was the project named “Agro biodiversity’s conservation in rural Albania.
German government will donate for this project an amount of 500 thousand euros.
