The European Commission has reacted through its spokeswoman, Maja Kocijancic following the declaration of Prime Minister Edi Rama, where he states that if the EU closes the doors for the country, then Albania will go for unification with Kosovo.
In an interview by “Blic” concerning the statement about the existing chances for Albania and Kosovo to unify to the ”Greater Albania”, Kocijancic said that there should be kept good relations with the neighboring countries, while adding that the Balkans has a clear future towards European Union.
“As it has been also recently confirmed by the European Council, the Western Balkans has a clear European future. To achieve this goal we cooperate with all the partners in the region without departing from the principle of reconciliation and regional cooperation. Any type of political influence is harmful to consolidate good neighborly relations,” Maja Kocijancic said.
