The EU office reacted to the agreement reached between the SP and the DP. Through a Twitter post, European Union ambassador, Romana Vlahutin, welcomed the agreement reached by the political parties, supporting 100% “McAllister +” platform.
“Congratulations on agreement for free and fair elections in the interest of all Albanian citizens”- EU ambassador wrote.
Meanwhile a congratulatory message was sent also by the American ambassador in Tirana, Donald Lu . Lu tells “bravo” to the Albanian politicians for their personal courage to set an agreement.
Additionally OSCE presence in Albania saluted the agreement reached last night between Prime Minister and opposition leader.
“Congratulations to the Albanian government and the opposition for the agreement. OSCE presence is ready to vigorously endorse the electoral reform for free and fair elections” – OSCE presence stated.
On the other hand MEP Eduard Kukan also welcomed today the long-awaited agreement reached last night after midnight between the leaders of two main political forces, Edi Rama and Lulzim Basha.
Kukan is glad for the majority-opposition pact and for accepting the “McAllister +” platform.
