Seems that EU ambassadors are doing everything to help the political impasse in Albania get a solution.
This Thursday opposition leader, Basha, met the EU ambassadors in order to discuss the recent offers made by the Prime Minister Edi Rama.
But the opposition stands firmly on their request for a caretaker government, which, according to them, will ensure free and fair elections.
The US ambassador Donald Lu, earlier said that the elections will be legitimate even without opposition’s participation.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed today at a press conference that the game Democratic Party is playing with the elections in Kavaja city and with the parliamentary elections of June 18 will have serious consequences for the country.
According to him, the opposition’s attitude, by lining up consecutive demands to the government, is just an excuse to avoid the Vetting and justice reform.
“As the leader of Socialist Party I feel very good that we have completely discovered the opponent’s bluff plan. As a Prime Minister, I must do everything that the elections be the best that the any government has done. The opposition has already started to cry for the loss of elections that have not even happened yet”.- Rama said.
