Central Election Commission announced on Saturday that the deadline for the political parties to submit the candidates’ lists for the MPs for the June 18th parliamentary elections expires at midnight.
CEC spokesperson, Drilona Hoxhaj, stated that the lists should be submitted 50 days before the day of the elections, so today.
“The deadline expires today”- Hoxhaj said.
CEC will wait until midnight for the lists of the candidates.
Today is the last day when all the parties in Albania have the chance to submit candidates’ lists for the elections while the DP which is the main opposition party has decided to abstain the election.
Opposition leader Lulzim Basha declared today that the elections of June 18th are not going to take place since they are not legitimate without opposition’s participation.
