President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani, decreed yesterday both parliamentary and partial elections for the mayor of Kavaja city, on June 25.
Considering the agreement reached on May 18 between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha, Nishani decided to decree the request for changing the date of both elections.
“President of the Republic appreciates the agreement between the political parties as an important achievement of interest to the Albanian nation and people. Head of state appreciates the commitment of the foreign diplomats in solving the political crisis. President Nishani decided to appoint June 25th elections for both the head of the Kavaja Municipality and the parliamentary ones.”
