Ministry of Defense hosted today the ceremony of escorting two contingents of the Armed Forces to the NATO military operation Resolute Support Mission in Kabul and Herat, Afghanistan.
Defense Minister Kodheli praised the preparation of the two contingents and expressed special support for them and their families during the engagement in the operation. “Now, after successfully completing the commitment to the NATO’s Highly Responsible Response Force, we begin the first company’s effectiveness. They successfully participated in the high-profile “Trident Juncture-15″ NATO Exercise in Capo Teulada, Italy, as well as in other dislocation exercises in Poland or Germany. ”
Albanian contingents are part of the first infantry battalions “Lion-hearted” company and will serve for a period in Kabul under the command of the Turkish Armed Forces and in Herat under the command of the Italian Armed Forces.
