During the protest, opposition’s leader Lulzim Basha, made several promises and among them also a request for the so-called “New Republic”.
Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha stated that he is ready to announce the New Republic.
“I’m ready to announce the New Republic. I have a question for you all, are you ready to keep staying united? I’d ask from you only for strength and unification and the Lord will bless us with victory. I am ready to lead you and keep the promise given years ago. There has been no criticisms of slander attacks on the DP. I have proved that I have not stepped back or I have been lured for two reasons because I do not do it for myself either for my post or power, I do it for all of you, young Albanians, ” Basha said.
