Any prolongation and escalation of political tensions in Albania will have its impact in the performance of the economy, IMF head in Tirana said.
In an interview for BalkanWeb he said that up until now the economic performance is in good levels but this can change due to the political instability.
“Prolonged political insecurity can cause individuals and companies to review their investment decisions. Things so far seem to be okay as they going in accordance with the expectations, but there is always a risk that prolongation can have an impact. ”
When asked whether the Socialist Party’s program for creating new places of jobs and wage increases is feasible, Reinke said he prefers not to comment on electoral platforms.
“I do not want to comment on the electoral platforms that parties choose to exhibit during this time of pre-elections, it’s Albanian citizens task to judge on political platforms, we expect to cooperate with the government that will be elected, and then we will discuss the economic policies,” the IMF head in Tirana stated.
