Germany will recognize the elections of June 18 in Albania, even if the Democratic Party and its allies do not participate them.
The message was transmitted by the German Ambassador in Tirana, Mrs Susanne Schutz, who highlighted once again, the same message given in Tirana by the German Foreign Minister, Gabriel.
“The parliamentary elections should take place on the date decreed by the President of the Republic. If Democratic Party will not participate on these elections, this will be a sad decision. But despite this fact, Germany will recognize the elections,” the ambassador said.
This statement was published while other ambassadors meet with Albanian politicians, stressing the need to find a solution to the crisis, “Top Channel” writes.
But the ambassadors, just as the small party representatives confirmed a few days ago, have stressed that non-participation of some of the parties in the elections would not make a big diference in the OSCE / ODIHR election report.
