European Union ambassador in Albania, Romana Vlahutin, wants the citizens to be allowed to vote on June 18, otherwise the process of the country’s integration to European Union will be lagged behind.
Referring to the current political crisis, Romana Vlahutin appealed on political parties from the city of Gjirokastra, where she attended a ceremony on the occasion of Europe Day celebrated in this city.
According to Vlahutin, completing the reforms in order to give further impetus to the negotiations, it’s a must.
“I’m absolutely convinced that the political class in Albania will have sufficient courage and maturity to find reasonable forms which would enable the citizens’ constitutional right to vote for a political force of their choice. This crisis should not and will not serve as obstruct-er of country’ ambition for European integration” – Vlahutin said.
