The European Commission published yesterday a report which says that the economic recovery in the Western Balkans, has been strengthening during 2016.
The good news is that Albania, along with other countries in the region, has seen the highest growth since 2008.
Additionally, the report reflects the economic performance for the first quarter of 2017, for the candidate and potential candidate countries.
Meanwhile, in the Albanian government economic reform program for 2017-2019 period, submitted to the European Commission, in late January, an annual increase of 4.2% for the next three coming years, has been planned, “monitor.al” writes.
However, the report says that the unsettled political situation of the parliamentary elections, of the 18th June might have an impact of decreasing the economic activities in the first quarter of 2017, although this has not been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, private consumption and investments continue to support the increase the regional growth.
