According to the German magazine Der Spiegel, in Macedonia there is an anti-Albanian hysteria to cover the criminality. Macedonia is in a deep political crisis, while nationalists are deepening divisions among communities. Der Spiegel considers that Macedonia as the most fragile country in the Western Balkans.
“Nationalists think that the presence of the Albanian flag in the Parliamentary Speaker’s Office, Talat Xhaferi, represents the division of Macedonia and the union with Albania, and the formation of a ‘Greater Albania’.”- Der Spiegel reads.
Albanian politician Talat Xhaferi was elected as Assembly chairman in April 2017, thus causing violence break out from the Macedonian hooligans.
